Art That Changed The World : An Introduction
Saturday Feb 15, 2025
Saturday Feb 15, 2025
Join us for an inspiring episode of the Art That Changed The World Series as we sit down with Magdelene D.D., the Curator of 34 Gallery.
In this courageous and uplifting conversation, we delve into the realities faced by everyday artists and explore the profound impact of art on society.
Magdelene shares her poignant and brave insights on the transformative power of creativity, emphasizing an empowering and united path forward for the global art community. With a message of hope and resilience, we discuss how art not only reflects our culture but also paves the way for a brighter future.
Tune in to discover how we can collectively uplift and support one another in the art world!
Magdelene, D.D. has honorably served from 2023-2025 with UNV.org as a United Nations Online Personnel Supervisor assigned to SimukaAfrica.org. In this capacity, she manages all UNV Online Personnel, online operations & The 34 Gallery. As Public Relations Advisor, she produces public engagement strategy on a quarterly basis.
Magdelene in her own words:
"As a neurodivergent artist, the external world is a swirling maze of sensory information that often does not resonate with the inner peace I achieve through meditation and martial arts. Post-pandemic, it seems conflict in all aspects of life is also becoming the standard. I'm not of the opinion that we are meant to live in a state of angst for our entire existence here.
When you are "in the zone" doing what you love, only the present exists. The act of Creation makes you a positive conduit. Doing so keeps your heart & spirit intact in any circumstance. Peace can become a natural way of living.
This is why, era after era, each Golden Age is led by artists.
We remind people of who they really are.
For 2025, my goal as Curator for The 34 Gallery is to provide a space for mental health conversations while celebrating life. It is no secret that the most creative, intuitive and kind-hearted people in our populations are also the most bullied, tormented and marginalized. Let's change this. Get creative."

Through this integrated management approach, people on the ground across more than 60 Model Forests in more than 30 countries agree on and generate comprehensive plans that truly reflect the main actions and priorities needed to advance sustainable and resilient landscapes. From the bottom up, they present us with the most coherent pathways to biodiversity conservation and funding.
